Fishing

There is a great variety of lakes, rivers and streams in Luster. Fishing rights are admninistered by individual landowners or landowner-organisations. Fishing licenses must, therefore, be obtained locally. See list. One must apply to the individual landowner for fishing in areas not administred by the organised sale of licenses. There is always free fishing in the fjord. However, one must not fish nearer than 100 meters to the mouth of a river containing protected salmon or sea trout.
